Week One Recap & Video

This week’s blog was written by a few girls from Tamary ’26!

Week one of camp was so exciting! Here is a recap of a few highlights from what the campers did along with an accompanying video from the Media Team.

As everyone was settling into their summer camp routines, the campers started their activities such as waterski, Outdoor Adventure, gymnastics, swim, small craft, cooking, fine arts, ropes, dance, landsports, theater, tennis, equestrian, music, and digital media.

*** This first week is one of Olympic breakout, which is one of the Olympics of camp and the counselors find out their teams and Olympic generals, who are the leaders of the teams. Good luck green and good luck white, let the 2026 Olympics begin!

*** The week started off with “The Counselor Show,” all of the Staff from each activity performed skits and dances to the campers introducing the staff and demonstrating the fun of their activity. At the end of the show that night, the oldest age-group, Tamary, revealed their theme for the summer.

*** Next we had Senior Camp Casino Night, which is a fun evening activity where Seniors through Tamary get to play games, dance, and enjoy tasty treats. It’s a great opportunity for senior camp to bond and kick off the summer.

*** After Olympic breakout, we had Olympic Sunset Circle. The Olympic Brass seek to encourage one another to show appreciation, get the campers excited, and officially start Olympics.

***The warm weather gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the waterfront, where campers spent afternoons swimming, paddleboarding, playing in the aquapark, and cooling off in the lake. To help everyone beat the heat, we also mixed in some relaxing time watching movies and even campers bowling. These fun breaks gave everyone a chance to recharge while continuing to build friendships and make great summer memories.

Overall, the campers had a great first week full of fun events and activities, and we are looking forward to a great summer ahead.

Yeah Vega 2026 – WOOO!!!
