Camp Vega Week 6: Celebrating the Journey

It is hard to believe Week 6 of our summer has come and gone. As we pack up in the final day of camp, we take joy sharing so many of the experiences
in this week’s recap. They represent many of the culminations of a summer’s worth of hard work, friendships, traditions, and fun.

Some of those accomplishments shared in this recap video include was the Anchor Swim. Campers who completed at least 50 laps throughout the
summer earned the opportunity to swim out to Green’s Point. Girls attempting the Single Anchor completed the (just over) 1,500-foot swim, while those
taking on the Double Anchor swam ~1 kilometer. It is always impressive to watch the girls challenge themselves in the water and accomplish a goal they
have been working toward throughout the summer.

Week 6 also brought several of our end-of-summer shows. The Dance Show, Music Show, and Gym Show are the pinnacles of their respective
departments and give campers the opportunity to showcase the skills they have developed throughout the summer. Some performances highlighted
individual accomplishments, while others bring entire activity groups together. More than anything, these shows are a chance for the girls
to celebrate their efforts and accomplishments, and are also a chance for the rest of camp to cheer them on.

We also added plenty of color to camp with an all-camp Tie Dye experience facilitated by Tyed with Love. Campers had the chance to
create their own designs, and the result was a lot of creativity, a lot of tie dye, and a few hands that remained colorful for a
little longer than expected!

Our three oldest age groups experienced Marathon, which is essentially a mini Camp Olympics of their own. This year’s theme took
us down the rabbit hole with teams inspired by Alice in Wonderland: Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat. Marathon brings
together competition, teamwork, creativity, and plenty of age-group spirit and bonding as our oldest campers make the most of their
final days together.

Of course, this week’s video also includes highlights from the Olympic Relay, which helped set up an incredible finish to the 2026 Olympics.
After trailing White by triple digits, Green mounted an impressive comeback with their resounding victory in the Olympic Relay and entered
last night’s Olympic Sing holding onto a modest lead. With everything coming down to the final event, White won the Sing and, with it, the 2026 Olympics!
Congratulations to the White Team and to both teams for a summer of spirited teamwork and competition.

But perhaps our favorite Olympic moment came after the scores had been announced. Walking out of the banquet, we saw girls from opposing
teams who had spent the summer competing as hard as they could against one another walking arm in arm.

It was a wonderful reminder of what we hope the girls take away from Olympics, and really from camp as a whole. It isn’t about the end, it
is all about the journey.

As you watch our Week 6 recap video, we hope you enjoy seeing some of the accomplishments, performances, traditions, competition, and
friendships that filled these final weeks. We could not be more proud of everything the girls have packed into it.
