A Whirlwind First Week!
Dear Camp Vega Parents,
What an incredible start to our summer! As we wrap up our first week at Vega, we wanted to share some of the highlights and unforgettable moments that your daughters have experienced.
Opening Day Video: A Heartwarming Start
Our camp community travelled to the shores of Echo Lake from near and far. We hope you enjoy the opening day video which captures the smiles, laughter, and cheers that filled the air. Tamary exuded their passion and love for camp, helping set the tone for the amazing adventures to come.
Time Flies When You’re At Camp!
It’s hard to believe that the first week has already flown by, and it seems like just a couple of days ago we were greeting the busses on opening day. After a bit of a wet start the first day (which was perfect for bunk bonding activities) the days have been filled with sunshine, laughter, and new friendships. From morning tetherball and tennis games to evening campfires at Sunset Circle, each day has been a whirlwind of fun and excitement. The energy and enthusiasm of the campers have made this week truly special.
The Best Counselor Show Yet
Our talented counselors outdid themselves this year with a show that will go down in Camp Vega history. From hilarious skits to impressive musical performances, the Counselor Show was a hit with campers and staff alike. The laughter was contagious, and the applause echoed through the camp as each act took the stage. It was a night that reminded us all of the incredible talent and creativity within our camp community.
Camp Olympics: Let the Games Begin!
One of the most anticipated events of the summer, the Camp Vega Olympics, has officially begun! The entire camp has been divided into two teams: Green and White. For the next five weeks, campers will participate in a variety of games and activities, earning Olympic Points for their teams. The excitement is palpable as the competition heats up, and the campers are eagerly embracing the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
From relay races to tug-of-war, the Camp Vega Olympics are an opportunity for our campers to challenge themselves, support their teammates, and create memories that will last a lifetime. The enthusiasm and camaraderie among the campers are truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to see which team will come out on top!
As we look forward to the coming weeks, we are filled with anticipation for the adventures that lie ahead.
