We are thrilled to share some exciting updates and highlights from the past week at Camp Vega! As we reach the midpoint of the summer, the energy and enthusiasm of our campers continue to soar. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:

Week 4 Recap Video: Funtown/Splashtown USA and Visiting Day

Our Week 4 recap video is here, capturing the joy and excitement of our unforgettable trip to Funtown/Splashtown USA. We reserved the entire park, giving our campers an exclusive and amazing experience filled with thrilling rides and water fun. The smiles and laughter in the video say it all—our campers had a blast!

Visiting Day was another highlight of the week. It was wonderful to see so many families come together and share in the camp experience. The positive energy was palpable, and it was heartwarming to witness the joyous reunions and the pride in everyone’s eyes as they saw their campers thriving.

Week 5 Highlights included Extended Overnight Trips and Interpalooza

Last week was particularly special for our Seniors, Super Seniors, and Tamary as they embarked on their extended overnight trips. Each group had unique adventures that they’ll remember for a lifetime:

  • Seniors ventured to the beautiful Bar Harbor, where they explored the stunning landscapes and enjoyed various outdoor activities.
  • Super Seniors spent their time at Sunday River, experiencing the breathtaking scenery and engaging in fun and challenging activities.
  • Tamary headed to Montreal, where they immersed themselves in the vibrant culture and exciting attractions of the city.

These trips were not only a chance for adventure but also an opportunity for our campers to bond even more closely and create lasting memories.

While the older girls were away, the rest of camp enjoyed…camp! The Interpalooza festival was probably the most noteworthy highlight, where the age-group performed amazing pop band routines and then enjoyed games and treats in a fabulous celebration

Olympic Update

While the Olympics in Paris have recently kicked off, our own Camp Vega Olympics have been in full swing, creating a whirlwind of excitement and competition. The past week has seen a flurry of activity, including the Gold Rush, Counselor Hunt, and Water Brigade. The spirit of friendly competition is alive and well as our campers give their all in each event.

Today, Sunday, we gear up for one of the most anticipated events of the camp Olympics—the Olympic Relay! The competition is heating up, with the Green Team currently leading with 1417 points, closely followed by the White Team with 1385 points. Every point counts, and the excitement is palpable as we approach the final events.
