Week 1.5 Recap
Summer Has Begun! It is hard to believe that Camp Vega burst into action nearly 2 weeks ago when we said hello to all our campers with cheers, songs, high fives, and hugs. From showing new campers around camp and getting everyone settled into their bunks, to gathering together at sunset circle, it felt so good to be back with everyone here.
Highlights from the Week:
- Opening Sunset Circle welcomed all campers with a special moment around the fire, setting the tone for a meaningful summer.
- Campers dove into their first week of activities. From waterskiing to stunting, dance company, and gymnastics team tryouts, everyone worked hard and played harder!
- A variety of Intercamp sports competitions are already in the books and plenty more to come.
- Inters – Tamary enjoyed socials with Cedar and Takajo.
- The Counselor Show was an all-around hit, and was the perfect way to introduce the kids to their counselors. The Lodge was full of laughs, dance-offs, and sing-alongs all evening.
- Tamary officially revealed their theme: “The Greatest of All Time” and they are certainly enjoying fulfilling their mission!
Olympic Update – Break & Celebration
The 2025 Olympic Break was a hit! Everyone was in disbelief as they watched the line of food trucks driving down the gravel roads. Members of the Green Team and the White Team were revealed, and the campers were all able to design their own Olympic Pinney. Anticipation is high for all the Olympic events to come—Go Green! Go White!
The first week was all about reconnecting with friends, meeting new bunkmates, and diving into the spirit of Vega. From meals in the Dining Hall to dance parties in the rain, Week 1 quickly set the stage for a summer filled with growth, laughter, and confidence.
