At Camp Vega, we hire over 200 enthusiastic, talented individuals who travel to Maine (housing and meals provided in addition to salary and other benefits) to fill a wide range of roles from cabin counselors to specialized instructors and behind-the-scenes support staff.   • Outdoor Adventure & Nature – Ropes Course, Climbing, Hiking, and Nature Education Specialists connecting campers to Maine’s great outdoors.

  • Equestrian Team – Riding Instructors, Stable Managers, and Barn Assistants caring for our horses and leading lessons in our exceptional riding program.

  • Health & Wellness – Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and Wellness Staff ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every camper and counselor.

  • Operations & Support Staff – Kitchen, Dining Hall, Maintenance, Office, and Laundry teams who keep camp running smoothly every day.

  • Media & Communications – Photographers, Videographers, and Social Media Coordinators capturing and sharing the Vega experience.

Founded in 1936, Camp Vega has helped thousands of girls (ages 7-15) discover the strength, self-esteem and confidence they need to go after their dreams.  The responsibilities staff have at camp will allow you to gain experience in the professional world for nearly every area of collegiate study, from management to food service to equestrian to healthcare.  We are also able to provide many paid accredited internships for staff.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Our staff is comprised of approximately 165 female staff and 50 male staff.  While some positions do not require formal professional experience and training and certifications are an option, to be successful staff must be ready to immerse themselves in the experience.  If you have collegiate experience in a team sport (including sailing, swimming, tennis or waterskiing), we encourage you to apply!
