Administration

Directors, Group leaders, and Department Heads meet at the White House and Unity. The daily schedules emanate from the White House offices.
Arts & Crafts

Lily Bay and Cadillac are home to Vega’s art program. Pottery, textile crafts, jewelry, silver, clay sculpting, stained glass, painting, drawing scrapbooking, beading, and tie-dye are just some of the activities that take place here.
Circle Benches

The Circle Benches are at the top of Inter Hill and provide a great view of camp. They are a frequent meeting point and notable landmark.
Cookout

Individual cabin campfire sites are nestled alongside Vega’s shoreline. Once a week, girls order and prepare tasty meals over their campfire and top it off with tasty S’mores!
Dance

Boothbay and Lakeview are the ideal dance studios for Vega’s fabulous dance program. Hip-hop, jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, dance, zumba and yoga are taught in both buildings.
Equestrian

The Equestrian department focuses on English Hunt Seat and Jumping. You can always find happy and well-trained horses in Vega’s magnificent Equestrian Center.
Figure Skating

The Alfond Ice Arena, which is only fifteen minutes from Vega, is where all levels of figure skating instruction takes place in this Olympic sized rink.
Gymnastics

Tumbledown is home to anyone interested in gymnastics, stunting and cheering. Trampolines, balance beams, uneven bars, a pommel horse, a tumble track and a huge springboard floor help kids either get started or perfect their routines!
Health Center

Nurses and Doctors are based out of Lovejoy, our health center. If anyone gets hurt or is not feeling well, this is the fix-it place!
Inter Cabins

Our twelve-year-old age group, known as the Inters, lives here. The age group heads Junior Camp for the Vega Olympics.
Junior Cabins

The Junior age group has four separate divisions, from 8 year olds to 11 year olds. This area is known as Junior Camp.
Land Sports

Archery, Basketball, Field Hockey, GaGa, Golf, Lacrosse, Running, Sand Volleyball, Soccer, and Softball, are found on the beautiful Vega fields and running trails.
Laundry

Dirty clothes come out clean here!
Meals

Vega’s dining hall is the place to make your tummy happy. Delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners, along with mid-morning and afternoon snacks and banquets can be found in this beautiful building.
Mountain Biking

The Mountain Bike trail is one of several trails in the Outback, which is Vega’s 200 acres of forest. Ride on!
Outdoor Adventure

This is the wooded setting by the lake where campers can build fires, wilderness shelters or explore the natural world. It has been told that Varna may also live here!
Ropes

The Ropes Challenge Course with 43 different high and low elements is both thrilling and challenging! The Giant Swing, Rolling Log, Flying Squirrel, Water Zip-Line and Climbing Wall are just a few of the many elements found here.
Rock Band/Music

Guitar, percussion, keyboard/piano and vocals are the core areas of instruction in Baxter. Battle of the Bands and Talent Show night feature the talented musicians and singers on the Vega Stage.
Senior Cabins

Thirteen year olds claim the fame of this territory!
Super Senior Cabins

This area is known as SugarKat Hill. Fourteen year olds, also known as the SugarKats named after their two famously large cabins, Katahdin and Sugarloaf.
Sunset Circle

The entire camp gathers around the campfire at Sunset Circle to sing camp songs and reflect on the joys of camp life.
Water Crafts & Sailing

Canoes, kayaks, sunfish, paddleboarding, hobie cats and rowing make up this activity. Campers can enjoy the beauty of Echo Lake on our various watercrafts.
Swim

Our swimming program takes place at our extensive dock system which includes inflatables, diving boards, waterslides, swim lanes, starting blocks, water basketball, and our one of a kind underwater dock floor for beginners or anyone interested in water aerobics.
Tamary

The fifteen year old camper building is the coveted home of the oldest campers. Assuming a camper leadership role, they ensure the tone, spirit and tradition of camp through their creative input and guardianship of Vega’s folklore and traditions.
Tennis

Upper and Lower courts are seen active day and night with aspiring tennis players and seasoned ones. Instruction is dazzling and the backboard is sizzling as the girls have fun and play hard on this USTA tournament site.
Theater

The Lodge is for anyone who wants to be in age-group shows, performances, and set design. Our older girls also have socials here.
Water Ski

Our magnificent Mastercrafts are always new and ready for waterskiing, ski-jumping, wakeboarding, slaloming and even wakesurfing! Girls who have never waterskied before and can be up on skis or a wakeboard in no time, the best staff and equipment ensure a safe and happy time!

Vega

Camp Vega was founded in 1936 and is named after the brightest star in the summer sky. Girls from all over the US and the world choose to come to Vega to make most meaningful friendships and excel in the activities of their choice. Thank you for visiting our website!
